Forward Andrew Bond, (St Louis Jr Blues, NA3HL) reached a career milestone this semester in obtaining 100 points (44 Goals - 56 Assist) as an SIUe Cougar. Bond achieved this accomplishment with a goal at the 13:56 marker of the second period in an away game vs Grand Valley State University on 11/3/2017. Since then he has accumulated 4 more points on the Cougars season and is currently tied for first in scoring with 16 points for the 2017/2018 season.

Bond, a native of Bethalto IL, is in his junior year at SIUe where he is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and currently boasts a 3.2 GPA. He is also apart of the leadership group for the Cougars where he is currently serving as the 2017/2018 Team Captain.

Bond played 2 seasons of junior hockey before deciding to attend SIUe. He started his junior career in Cincinnati playing for the Swords (NA3HL) where he put up 38 points during the 2013/2014 season. He stayed in Cincinnati for the 2014/2015 season as well before moving to the St. Louis Jr Blues (NA3HL) halfway through the season where he accumulated a total of 47 points for the entire year. Bond started his career with the SIUe Cougars during the 2015/2016 season where he had great success playing in the tough Central Region of the ACHA D2 hockey league. As a freshman he was able to score a total of 46 points as he helped the Cougars win their 8th career MACHA Championship against the University of Iowa and finish the regular season with the extremely high team ranking of 4th in the Central Region. In his sophomore year at SIUe, Bond finished the season with 42 points as the Cougars missed a regional bid for the first time in 7 years.

Bond is looking to lead SIUe back to the regional tournament for the 2017/2018 season as they are currently ranked 18th and climbing. The Cougars return home for a 2 game series against Illinois State University the first weekend of December at the East Alton Ice Arena.
